Laboratoire IMATH

Profil recherche :

L’équipe Analyse Appliqué (AA) du laboratoire IMATH poursuit son programme de recherche de longue durée, traitant des problèmes théoriques divers d’analyse non-linéaire, de calcul des variations, et d’analyse géométrique, domaines qui sont interconnectés et peuvent prendre pour axe commun des problématiques de la mécanique des solides. Le laboratoire IMATH souhaite enrichir son activité de recherche dans cette thématique de l’équipe AA entre l’analyse et la géométrie. Parmi les thèmes de recherche concernés, on peut mentionner le calcul de variations non-convexe ; la théorie non-linéaire d’élasticité et mécanique des solides ; les EDP dans la géométrie et la mécanique ; l’analyse non-linéaire ; l’analyse géométrique ; la théorie géométrique de la mesure ; et la théorie géométrique des fonctions. Une motivation à tisser des liens avec des problématiques de la mécanique des solides, et des capacités d’interaction avec l’équipe Modélisation Numérique (MN) du laboratoire, seront appréciées.

Profil enseignement :

La personne recrutée interviendra dans les enseignements de mathématiques des Licences de l’UFR Sciences et Techniques et en Master de mathématiques. Elle veillera à adapter son enseignement à son public, en particulier dans les licences de l’UFR autres que la licence de Mathématique. L’adéquation au profil recherche permettra de couvrir certaines attentes pour les enseignements dans le master de Mathématiques. La capacité à assurer des travaux pratiques sur machine, en application des mathématiques et au niveau licence, sera appréciée.

Research profile :

The Applied Analysis (AA) group at the IMATH laboratory continues its long-term research program, dealing with various theoretical problems of non-linear analysis, calculus of variations, and geometric analysis, fields which are interconnected and can potentially take for the common axis the questions of solid mechanics. In this line, the IMATH laboratory wishes to enrich its research activity in the themes of the AA group between analysis and geometry. The research domains of interest include the non-convex calculus of variations ; the non-linear theory of elasticity and solid mechanics ; the PDEs in geometry and mechanics ; non-linear analysis ; geometric analysis ; the geometric measure theory ; and the geometric function theory. Motivation to build links with themes in solid mechanics, and ability to interact with the Numerical Modeling (MN) group of the laboratory, will be appreciated.

Teaching profile :

The recruited person will be involved in teaching mathematics at the bachelor’s programs of the UFR Sciences et Techniques and in the master’s degree program in mathematics. He/she will ensure that his/her teaching is adapted to the audience, particularly in the bachelor’s degrees of the UFR other than that of Mathematics. Matching the research profile will make it possible to cover certain expectations for teaching in the Master of Mathematics degree program. The ability to carry out practice session work with computers for the application of mathematics, at the undergraduate level, will be appreciated. The recruited person will also be expected to be involved in educational and administrative responsibilities linked to our various sectors and to the Department of Mathematics. He/She will participate in activities to promote mathematics to high school and university students (conferences in high schools, science festivals, open days, science days, seminars for students).
