Titre : Pore-scale modeling of transport and reaction in catalytic particulate matter filters
Résumé : This presentation focuses on development of pore-scale models describing the processes occurring inside the walls of catalytic particulate filters. The models are based on X-ray tomography images and 3D reconstruction of porous wall structures. The processes of interest include gas flow, diffusion, and reaction, movement of solid particles as well as their filtration and growth of particle deposits. The developed models form a modular simulation toolbox under OpenFOAM computational framework. The developed framework is validated against experiments and used in evaluation of key functional parameters of filter samples such as wall permeability, gas species conversion and filtration efficiency both in clean state and during soot accumulation.
